Past Events

Empowerment with Prevention was the central theme of our recent day-long conference, bringing together Student Assistance Professionals (SAPs), school personnel, prevention consultants, and prevention partners for a dynamic and collaborative event.

This conference focused on how proactive, community-centered strategies can empower individuals and groups to reduce risk, strengthen resilience, and promote overall well-being. By highlighting the vital role prevention plays across health, safety, and social challenges, we aimed to equip participants with practical tools, research-based knowledge, and inspiration to enhance comprehensive prevention programming in their schools and communities.

What We Covered

Through a combination of expert-led keynotes and interactive workshops, attendees had the opportunity to:

  • Explore evidence-based prevention strategies across multiple sectors

  • Learn how empowerment leads to sustainable, positive change

  • Share experiences and collaborate with peers across the state

  • Deepen their understanding of the SAP role in creating safer, healthier environments
